When useful35 mm cameras still exist, but most consumers have moved on to digital cameras.

Using standard 35 mm film rolls for cameras is a peculiar skill requiring patience, care, knowledge, and faith. Patience and care to pull the film out of the roll *just enough* to engage on the sprockets (but not to ruin the film), knowledge of how the different cameras expected you to arrange the film so that it would be properly taken up when you advance the roll, and faith-- that you did it right, because with some cameras you can not tell if the film is advancing or not-- which could mean that none of your photos were actually taken.

Most professional or semi-professional photographers still use 35mm film. This skill probably won't become obsolete until film disappears- which will take decades, considering that obsolete items such as valves and plain 8mm film are still available new.
