As you write, keep a dictionary, thesaurus, and maybe a pocket encyclopedia with you. If you encounter a word you think you misspelled, turn to the dictionary. Attempt to look up the word - if you can't find it (meaning you have no idea how to spell it), look up a similar word in the thesaurus to find it.
This may get irritating at first, but with time and study you will need to refer to these things less and less. Studying English grammar and spelling rules will help, but you're better off keeping your dictionary near whenever you write.
