A nomograph is a chart containing two or more scales set up in a particular way to enable complex calculations simply by drawing a line.

In a typical application there are two logarithmic scales, one on the left and one on the right. The input values are selected on these scales. The two values are connected by a line, and the result is read off a third scale in the middle.
