Junkyards around the nation are disappearing and even the ones that can stay open have tighter restrictions. It's very rare to find a yard that will let prospective buyers wander around all day in search of the right part. For some this is half the fun. Perhaps you might find something you hadn't intended on buying or, heck, you might just have a good time walking through the junkyard with a buddy. Fewer people are maintaining cars these days so junkyards are focusing more on scrap instead of saving parts cars.
